Last day of the course and, after the wash up, it was free sailing. The best of the conditions had been early in the morning and a few of the local pros had been out but the forecast was to swin NW which would give good wave riding on the opposite shore.

Started with thw 5.4 and wave board but it was not enough to plane unless you were on a wave. Added to this was the wind swinging to a very onshore (W) direction. Retired for lunch and waited a bit.

Decided to go for a bit more float with the Tabou and this turned out for the best. A few pumps and I was flying into the big swell. Hacked right over to the opposite shore, tacked and headed back for some big floaty starboard tack jumps. This lasted for a bout an hour before the wind died off - reminscent of the times I had when I lived there.

Stopped for a coffee than decided to hit the road back to Plymouth even though it was getting windy. Serious brownie points to be earned for the upcoming week in Tiree means that there will be no sessions at Bigbury for the weekend regardless of the conditions
